Eddie took on the role of 2nd Villain, Bailey, and hench-man for Sean Connery as Sir August De Wynter in this $60 million adaptation of the 1961 British television spy series, imported to the USA in 1996, where it was aired by ABC and was followed by The New Avengers on CBS in 1978-79.
In the feature-length version, Secret Agent John Stead (Ralph Fiennes) and Emma Peel (Uma Thurman) face a meteorological threat from super-villain Sir August, as he prepares to attack Britain with blizzards and other extreme weather.
Patrick Macnee (the original Stead) made a vocal cameo in the movie.
