Channel Hopping

Presented by Antoine de Caunes in his irreverent style, each programme included a selection of clips from French television (described by de Caunes as "just as terrible as British television"), with key words at the beginning and end of each clip, a documentary piece commented upon by Antoine, and a comic sketch featuring Eddie and Antoine; a survival guide to French with Eddie playing a combination of the Brit Abroad and fairly accomplished French speaker, a figure the pupils could relate to and, accordingly to the Times Educational Supplement, represented the "just have a go philosophy sadly lacking in most British attitudes to languages."

The Eddie/Antoine sketch was described as being “the most consistently funny and original feature” of the show by the Times Educational Supplement.
