Good luck running Eddie! I wouldn't have gotten through training and running a marathon without going to acupuncture - I have terrible knees. Please find yourself an acupuncturist!!!

01 Aug 2009 - 23:51 BST

I've just come on line to see if I was dreaming but no it's true-I actually did see you jogging along the A48 as I drove home at 4.30 this afternoon! If it hadn't been for the Welsh flag and the yellow jacket I probably wouldn't have given your group a second glance. Congratulations on what you're doing and what a shame there wasn't more publicity! Careful how you go in this attrocious weather.

02 Aug 2009 - 00:49 BST

Haven't been keeping up with your news lately so had no idea you were doing this amazing run. You are incredible. Will the "action transvestite" be running? Thank you from all who care about the people of this world. This is just another reason why I love you. Good luck and look after yourself. xx

02 Aug 2009 - 02:37 BST

Thank you for speaking to us today in Newport, and best of luck for the rest of your adventure. Look after your feet! XX

02 Aug 2009 - 20:07 BST

It was fantastic to meet Eddie, when he arrived in Bristol, UK on Friday 31st July... he was out of breath, but was in great shape for plenty of talk, interviews and comedy! First, everyone SHOULD go to the Sport Relief website, and donate and support Eddie on his run around the UK, so go here: http://www.comicrelief.com/donate/eddie Second - when he arrived in Bristol, I did some filming myself of him as he arrived, using nothing but my.. Apple laptop! (as my phone's camera was rubbish!). Watch my Eddie Izzard / Sport Relief video here: http://bit.ly/FlPzG I caught Eddie Izzard, as he stopped outside the Hippodrome theatre, filming him and asked him a few questions. Eddie, also asked me a few questions on why I was filming him, and he said “he found it strange, me filming him, and then posting it online! – but what a great idea!” as perhaps so far, I ask.. “Why, I’m the only person doing this..?” Eddie - even though it was short n sweet in meeting you in Bristol, it was great to have the opportunity in doing some coverage about the 'Good times' you are doing for Sport Relief! Would love to meet up with you in London, when you get back! so Eddie (or his management) please get in touch! Thanks (:

03 Aug 2009 - 11:43 BST

04 Aug 2009 - 10:42 BST

04 Aug 2009 - 10:50 BST

04 Aug 2009 - 10:53 BST

Hi Eddie, I will definitely donate to the cause having heard you on Radio 1 this morning, you are absolutely AMAZING, I've never heard of such an incredible attempt, you will go down in history as one of the greats for doing this. It's such a noble and inspiring mission, you must feel brilliant despite the aches. Bear up through the grey drizzle, at least its not scorching hot! Love you!

04 Aug 2009 - 12:02 BST

You are a legend. I'm training for a half marathon and know how tough it is. Keep up the good work - my donation has been made...

04 Aug 2009 - 19:44 BST

Eddie, what a fantastic thing to attempt, very best of luck and I will certainly be sponsoring as soon as I finish writing this. I have been runner for many years and found it hard doing 2 marathons in 4 weeks in 2007 so cant imagine how you must be feeling. Absolute respect and keep on running - will be looking for where and when you will be in Yorkshire, my county. Very best of luck. Sarah

Good luck and well done for all the many, many miles you have covered, I can't believe all that you have acheived so far. You can do it Eddie, we're all behind you!!! x x

05 Aug 2009 - 12:01 BST

As a fellow marathon runner I know how tough just 1 can be. To run so many for such a great cause is amazing! Good luck with the rest of the journey, if you run though Brighton I'll come and say Hi! (I might even bring you a bottle of lucozade and a banana!!)

05 Aug 2009 - 13:40 BST

Well done Eddie, great effort. I am another Skewen boy born just down the road from Cefn Parc. Lived in America for 10 tears, trying to spread the message of Skewen, goodwill and oneness. Met by a lot of bewildered stares. Must have been the mention of Skewen. keep up the good work

05 Aug 2009 - 13:45 BST

Great job Eddie! I recently started up running again...I'm in the US Air Force, so it's required. Anyway, keep it up (sort of speak)! Don't forget to stop at the Star Wars Cantina, I hear they make a delicious chicken arrabiata.

05 Aug 2009 - 17:46 BST

Nice one Eddie...heard you on Radio 1 and yes, this needs more publicity. Put up a schedule so we can come and cheer you on mate. Who knows, you might even get some sort of following like Forest Gump did :p

05 Aug 2009 - 19:21 BST

where are you running over the next few days as it'd be great to keep you company for a few miles!

05 Aug 2009 - 20:36 BST

Hi Eddie and your team. How do we find out which route you are taking for your run, so we can come and cheer you on, and bring you some home made flap jack and a cup of tea to help you along your way ??? Many thanks Nigel & Vic

06 Aug 2009 - 11:32 BST

Hi Eddie, I am in awe of your achievement so far and have no doubt that you will finish what you started. In support, me and hubby when for a 3 mile walk last night - I'm shattered this morning! So your journey is mind blowing. Please look after yourself and come back safely. My lovely husband gave me tickets for your Sheffield gig on October 25th, for my birthday on 2nd August. I am so looking forward to it and hope to hear some brilliant stories about your trip around the UK. We will be in row 14 so give me a wave and I will blow you a kiss (or very likely several). Love and best wishes - Jenny.

06 Aug 2009 - 11:46 BST

Astounding! Truly one of the most awesome and inspiring feats I've ever known.... gives new meaning to 'going for a little stroll'. The downside is that the 5 half marathons I'm doing, in 5 cities in 5 days, seems a little pathetic in comparison.... I guess I can forgive you, purely because you brought the Star Wars Canteen into my life! Donation is made and well deserved x

06 Aug 2009 - 17:04 BST

HI Eddie Saw you on the A470 between Merthyr and Brecon today, and then gave you a bottle of water between Brecon and Builth, good luck and keep going, I THINK WHAT YOU ARE DOING IS GREAT. All the best Di and Gary

08 Aug 2009 - 02:45 BST

Hiya Eddie I think you are so fab!! I also live in Skewen just down the road from Cefn Parc and I love living here. You spoke to me on the phone a couple of years ago whilst at a match in Cardiff. My Uncle asked you if you would speak to me and you did, and I've never forgotten it!! I wish you all the luck in the world. Just wished that I knew that you were in Skewen the other day as I would have come and said hi.

08 Aug 2009 - 11:48 BST

Hello Mrs, Wasn't sure how to find you and then discover you are doing this amazing thing. You are in my head even after all this time. Go, sweetie, go.

08 Aug 2009 - 21:02 BST

Go Eddie. You are a selfless and brave person. You have my utmost respect. Keep going, we are all behind you xxx

08 Aug 2009 - 22:26 BST

You are an inspiration, Eddie. Just one thing, can you possibly find a way that people who have no credit/debit card can donate please? I can't afford much but I do want to acknowledge your great achievement. Thanks love. x

11 Aug 2009 - 12:32 BST

Keep going Eddie! I'm very impressed and utterly amazed at your progress. I do a charity walk once a year to the last away game of my local football club - I did just 20 miles a day for two days last season - I feel ashamed about the whinging afterwards considering what you're doing! Agree with others that it's been poorly publicised - am trying to rectify that via facebook and twitter - keep going!

11 Aug 2009 - 17:49 BST

To observe what amazing courage and gritty determination Eddie has, you should have been on the road from Otterburn to Belsay yesterday ( Sept 3rd).He was running through torrential rain and biting winds , and each lorry and car that drove by him drenched him and his running mate even more. It was a long and lonely road, - we appeared to be the only supporters cheering him on for miles around. We are still overwhelmed with admiration for what he is achieving. Sponsoring you will be a total pleasure.

04 Sep 2009 - 14:50 BST

I think I'd rather eat my own eyeballs than even contemplate this challenge. Absoutely outstanding. God knows how you did it, but bloody well done old bean. How much money did you want?! Consider it done... xx

11 Mar 2010 - 23:29 GMT

Eddie this is unbelievable. You are truly inspirational. Well done!

14 Mar 2010 - 01:38 GMT

You are truly inspirational! I ran the london marathon 2 years ago and remember during the training how hard it is to keep running day after day. Obviously i didn't run a marathon each time, it was training but it was still so hard to keep motivated and positive. Now i have your image burnt into my brain and i will use it when it gets tough. I hope you're proud, i defy you not to be, what an acheivement. Well done Eddie x

14 Mar 2010 - 18:00 GMT

I saw an Action Transvestite, he made me cry in a beautiful way.

17 Mar 2010 - 16:38 GMT

eddie, i followed all the info when you were running, and have been watching the programme on tv. i have been a huge fan of yours for years and was lucky enough to see your show in december, brilliant!! i just wanted to say you are amazing, i know many people have said it and will continue to say it but seriously, what you have done for sprot relief and for people in the world who feel lost is wonderful. i have watched the programme each week and been moved to tears each time. my mum died when i was 9 and i agree with you, you do lock things away and you do hold things in. when my mum died i felt that i didn't belong, that what happened would stop me doing anything in the future, but what you've made me realise is that it is a reason to be, a reason to live and to achieve things you only dreamt of. thank you so much for making me and others see things differently, you are amazing, all my love, lauren sambridge. xxxx

19 Mar 2010 - 16:26 GMT

I've just seen your series on BBC I Player, wow, what can i say, you drove me to tears, many people pay lip service to what you have achieved but I thank I understand what pain you have gone through...a true inspiration, do not under-estimate what you have achieved...incredible...I have a brain tumour and you have given me some extra motivation to complete my dream of another marathon...you are amazing...oh yes, i'm also driven to give more money to Sport Relief. Keep it up...oh by the way, you are also very talented comedian.

20 Mar 2010 - 21:27 GMT

I just saw the repeat of you running those marathons... You're an inspiration.... Rock on Eddie... Rock on!!!
