Now that my friends is called --"embracing the blur" in photography. It's when the blur does indeed enhance the subject, which in this case it certainly does. Bravo artsey!
I'd call this a girl-mode smile. And look how the eyeshadow is like upswept wings on the sides! And I wonder if the shadow-turtleneck isn't adding a cool look -- I can see a black turtlenecked simple dressy dress, 3/4-length sleeves, maybe a string of pearls. A knit dress, that flatters the breasts. Mid-calf hem. The length that lets you rub your clean-shaven legs together privately -- because they feel so good.
No, the blur does not give an arty feel, it gives a "I took a crappy photo with a cheap camera and I don't care because everyone here is delusional" feel.
Sorry for my evil comments but I feel this is just too much of "oooh he is sooo sexy" type stuff for my mind to take. I mean, Ok, this is fan gallery, and as such, people are supposed to be a bit of blinded worshippers. But hey - Do you need to liquify in extasy everytime someone posts a photo? One that is out of focus especially ?
here is another "embracing the blur" shot.

See I like to educate than but folks down in a nasty manner.
OMG! Eddie is genius ha, ha,ha!!
Make the confusion by suddenly changing boy mood in to a half girlie mood.
And eeeverybody will talk about it.
Some positive - some negative, BUT TALK ABOUT HIS LOOK!
I saw him first time in 1997 at Definite Article and LOVE IT!
His performance was new, fresh from other stand up comedians.
This is just my opinion: When he was younger, he was VERY cute with make up. Now it doesn't work that way anymore.
That naturally DOESN'T demeanish his greatness as human being and actor. I like him a lot!
Everything is in his eyes :)))
Wow Steff, that is a cool "Embrace the Blur" link. Where do you think the "ghost" came from?
I expect the word fan comes from fanatic.
So hilarious, that someone who doesn't want to hear complimentary posts lurks around a fan site. Pathetic is more like it.
By the way, Artsey? This could be my favorite picture of Eddie ever, and that's saying a lot. I don't care if it's blurry or whatever. I love the beauty that's captured here.
Well I thank you all for your great compliments....and to each his/her own. I don't mind getting bad comments, as long as it's not hurtful just for the sake of being mean on purpose. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but being vintictive is a waste of my time.
Hey ! I'm a big Eddie fan !
I just don't think being a fan forces me to find him sexy. Or to repeat how awesome he looks over and over anytime anyone posts a so-so pic taken with a mobile.
And I'm not being mean to Artsy. I'm just being cheeky.
I am an evil fan.
just fyi...the pics I took were taken with a canon powershot. The reason they are blurry is because as I was in the front row, right in front of Eddie and couldn't use my flash, so the shutter speed was slower than I wanted....also, the usher caught me and almost took my camera away!
that said artsey, i hope you are not the boob who threw eddie chocolates, interrupting his bit and train of thought....so glad he gave that woman the what's up with a good verbal bitch slappin' !
it was well deserved :D
LOL!!!!!! I was sitting right next to her....she was so freaking weird. I know for a fact that it wasn't even her seat. The seats next to me were never sold. She was about 55-60 and didn't crack a smile. She freaked me out. Although, when Eddie couldn't think of the word "Stoics", it was my friend that yelled out "The Stabittes".
loverly shot,
and I shall drool, faint, squeal, liquify in ecstasy and in general act like a crazed fan all I want, cuz you know what....
IT'S AN EDDIE IZZARD FAN SITE, WE DO THAT HERE!
What were you expecting, a bunch of stoics?
Most of us are female, don't get as much action as we should, and find Mr. Izzard pretty darned enticing, so we drool and giggle over EVERY photo blurry or not.
I have a suggestion, Francis, go away (but have a nice day).
Yes...despite how old we are, when we see a candid picture of Eddie, no matter how blurry it is, we giggle like school girls. That's the power that is EDDIE. lol!

Another great shot, Artsy. Well put, Steffer. And Ann - that's hot and practically porn.

It *is* one of the best pictures out there, because that is a genuine smile...and genuine smiles from anyone are magic to behold.
