I'm a n00b. Not to Eddie but to this site. This is a little video I shot of him when he came out to sign autographs after the May 22nd Vancouver show. Waited over two hours for him to come out but it was so worth it. Unfortunately I forgot my camera in my hotel room (I know I'm a complete idiot) so this video is shot on my iphone, and as such is a bit crap. I hope you enjoy it anyway. It starts right after I got to speak to him and he signed my program. I told him that the first thing I ever saw him in was Revenger's Tragedy. He kinda looked at me like 'O RLY?' but didn't really comment. I had a whole speech prepared in case he actually responded to me, but he didn't really engage in much back and forth conversation with anyone except for a comment or two. Can't say I blame him, he would have been there all night. All I can really say about his appearance was that he was in 'girl mode' *SQUEE* and he looked very happy and relaxed if a bit tired. He was very gracious and very kind and made sure everyone got there turn. This was my first chance to see Eddie in person, and I sure hope it's not my last. What a man. Oh and the little wave he gives at the very end of the clip? That's me he's waving to. I'm surprised I didn't melt into anpuddle of goo right there. How can one person be that gorgeous/amazing/hot/lovely/fantastic?

bloody brilliant that! Brought back memories of me doing the same thing, hanging by the door, and trying to will it open with just my shear lust for this talented fellow! Well done to you!

Hey, I'm on there! The last one, in the silver down vest. I'd dressed up for the concerts, then looked like a slob to actually meet the man. Strange. Ah, well. Boy, it sure went by faster than how I remember it. Frau's in here too! Right after Eddie signs her pictures, he turns and hands Sarah the cufflinks. Thanks for uploading this! Fond, special memories.

Such a kind, caring, patient, gentle soul that man has! Thanks for sharing your triumphant moments and thanks to all who stood patiently at the door - he's soooo worth waiting for n'est ce pas? :-)

Always worth the wait :) Tell ya though, I felt like a real dork for "miming" the pictures in the cufflinks. Twice. And now it's here for the world to see. *sigh* At least they made him smile :D

Moxie: That's precisely what it felt like. Every time a stage hand or theater employee came out, it was like we were all collectively holding our breath. :) Ann: Hey, I wondered if anyone else from this community was there. :D claywoman: Like I said, we waited over 2 hours and it started to get cold near the end but it was sooooo worth it. Do it again in a heartbeat. :)

Frau, to be graced with his smile, would be worth the dorkness. :D

Sonic, you are so right! It was a very celf-centered comment and I should have thought before I typed it. 2 round-trip train tix to Vancouver: $54; One night in swanky hotel: $212; 2 tix to "Stripped": $130; Making Eddie Izzard smile: PRICELESS.

Yay! Just like he was in Victoria ^_^ Such a lot of patience and graciousness - a true role model I think. I don't recall seeing Sarah outside after the Victoria show.. just some general security guys near by. There weren't too many of us hanging out back though, so perhaps that's why. :)

Sarah is the one who probably took your picture.
