The Riches bloopers

If the show were actually as funny as the bloopers are it may still be on.

*Sigh* I don't know how much it costs per web page (or whatever) to run a website without advertising, but it DOES cost. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be paying for a forum where people not only sniped at each other, but at me. Or posted hundreds of irrelevant videos, etc. The demise of blather city would be sad but understandable. Oh, and zinaida, thanks for posting this. The above comment has nothing to do with you.

Ann...I wasn't 'sniping' at anybody. I didn't care for the show. Since when can we not have an opinion about something? Since when did the Freedom of Speech part of the Constitution get deleted? Obviously the show wasn't that great or it would still be on. Get a grip.

You're welcome AnnPettus, I didn't find myself in your comment. And The Riches were the type of show that requires certain level of wider view on relashionships and living. It was intelligent and different series. Not commercial and superficial one.

Politeness has nothing whatsoever to do with constitutional rights. Thankfully, freedom of speech hasn't been much suppressed on the internet. Perhaps you should start, and pay for, a website where you can say what you want, polite or not. Rudeness is not excusable because 'hey, it's an opinion." My opinion, which you seem to believe is not ok to express, is that I would not want to pay for a website where rudeness abounded.

22 Jun 2010 - 15:57 BST

Politeness? In my opinion the show wasn't that great. The bloopers were hysterical. I gave her a 5 star rating. How was anything I said rude? I don't need or want to start a website.

Eddie, at 2:10, just made my morning! thx zinaida

Why is there so much fighting here? I really don't understand it. I for one really liked The Riches. The first season had its faults and wasn't as good as it could have been but the second season was really headed somewhere great until the writer's strike happened. But, on Cabanas behalf, I can understand why some wouldn't like it. It wasn't mainstream, it was different and I think targeted at a very select audience. I have been involved with online fandoms for several years and one thing I've learned is that it is VERY easy for one's words to be misconstrued and taken in a very different way than they were intended. I don't think Cabana was rude at all. I think he/she was simply expressing an opinion and I don't see how someone could find fault in that. I have to wonder if it wasn't all the fighting going on that caused the forum to be put on 'hiatus'. Is it Eddie's people that run this site? If it is, I feel even more ashamed of all the goings on of late. The man himself is a huge believer in people getting along and working together. The right to be whomever you are and to be able to express yourself without being attacked. I'm very new to this site, but I really don't think I can stick around any longer. And this upsets me very much because this was the first place I found where I could talk about my love for Eddie without people looking at me like I was off my rocker or worse yet the blank stares I got from people who'd never heard of him. You know, the easiest way to solve this problem is to not encourage it. If there are a select few people who go around trying to cause trouble, (I'm not saying there is or isn't just IF) then the best way to get them to stop is to simply ignore them. Those type of people thrive on the reactions of others. Stop and they'll get bored and go away. This is a lesson I teach my children. Please, if only for Eddie's sake, stop fueling the fire! I apologize to zinaida67 for hijacking your post to vent my sorrow and frustration. Thank you for posting this clip. I'd only seen the second half of it. This was great.

Thank you soniced_up. My intent was simple, to share good laugh with all Eddie's fans. I don't like conflict people and I am fairly tolerant. In my opinion, if someone don't like something about Eddie (and it is quite understandably that we can't like everything) keep it to yourself. Simply because THIS IS FUN GALLERY. For the other kind conversation - go to Forum. I don't mind what you all wrote on this post, but we did miss the topic, contents of the video.

James Mason Almighty in His Heaven - Cabana/Cheryl, you even found a way to start an argument with people over here. It was a great show. Eddie was fantab, Minnie Driver was stellar, and the rest of the cast played their parts well.

It is amazing to me how fast something as small as a video clip can turn ugly. I have to agree with "soniced_up", if negative stuff gets posted here simply ignore it! I never understood the reason behind name calling. We are all adults here. Eddie at 2:30 made me smile today! Thanks for the video!

I really liked The Riches and have missed it..... I looked SO forward to it coming on the air, and then BLAM, it was gone..... Eddie and Minnie were an odd pairing I thought at first, but damn, they sizzled on the tube, and I loved the kids, and Hugh, everyone.... Nina... just the best neighbor any girl could confide in! ;)

24 Jun 2010 - 04:29 BST

Just to clarify, the show wasn't cancelled because of ratings, it was cancelled because settling the writers' strike held up the third season production, by which time cast members - Eddie being one of them - had other commitments. Thanks, Zin,for putting this out there to share.

I perceive a lot of blaming of the person who didn't start the ugliness.

25 Jun 2010 - 01:04 BST

If you are a true Eddie Izzard Believer and an admirer of his comic and acting genius, you unfailingly accept and come to understand all aspects of the choices he makes.

"Great shows don't get cancelled after 20 episodes dumb ass." You're right, if they are on FOX, usually they can do it in < 10 episodes!
