Not sure which I enjoyed more, the story or the pic. Both great!

Thanks for sharing your "Eddie" story! I bet your wife was so excited to hear hear the tale!

Thanks BLP, glad you liked both! You're right, rgh, she was very excited. I'm hoping we see Eddie tonight so she can meet him too!

Chance encounters are very cool. You'll see Eddie tonight, he typically comes out after every show to greet his fans. I saw him twice in NYC and both times had my picture taken with him. Someone will be happy to take a snap of you and your wife with him, I'm sure. He's a very gracious guy. Enjoy your evening!!

Thanks joeygirl. I'll let you all know tomorrow - maybe with a new pic ;-)

Thank you for wonderful story and pic. Hope you'll post more :)

Thanks Zina! Glad you liked them. The show was great and Eddie was terrific. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Eddie after the show. My wife has RA and can't stand for long periods. She lasted until about 9:30 standing outside the stage door and then we had to leave cause her feet were hurting her. Really disappointed she didn't get to meet Eddie but we'll try again some other time.

So sorry to hear that Joke201. I'm sure you'll see him again. Unfortunately I will never see him on stage, 'cause I live in country he will never visit :( And tanks for calling me Zina :) It's a Russian name Zinaida, short is Zina or Zinochka.

18 Aug 2010 - 16:25 BST

Thanks Zina - and please call me Joe - short for Joseph of course:). I like Zinochka even better! Which country? Maybe you can travel to US and see him here or in UK? Never say never - anything's possible so chin up!

18 Aug 2010 - 17:05 BST

That's right Zina, never say never. :) "I just met a guy from Kathmandu, who lives in New York and he said I could play Kathmandu in English so I promised him I would" that's from his twitter account. Joe, great story about meeting Eddie. Sorry to hear you and your wife were unable to stay to meet him. :(

Thanks Hip - glad you liked the story. We did see Afton Williamson and Richard Thomas who were both very generous with their time. Eddie will have to wait for another day....

Joe, bummer you didn't get to meet Eddie again last night. I met him after the matinee, so maybe less folks than after the evening performance. At least you got to meet him on the street in a more 'natural' environment, away from the rest of the fans, so you did very well indeed!!

18 Aug 2010 - 19:42 BST

Thank you Joe and TTHipFreak :)) I live in Vojvodina, Northern Province of Serbia. And you both right - anything is possible. If Eddie would go somewhere near my country I will certainly go to watch him. My net-friend from Pasadena, MD, went on July the 26th at NY to see The Race and asked him to sign up pics for us. And he did. Now I'm waiting for a package from her with Eddie's singed photo :)) I really like Eddie's site, I made a lot of connections with many lovely people around the world. Thank you all.

You're right, Joeygirl, I did do well! Last night, though, wasn't about me it was about my wife - I really wanted her to meet him too and vice versa.C'est la vie!

18 Aug 2010 - 20:18 BST

Thank *you* Zinochka. It's a kick to meet people from all over and different places. Enjoy the signed pics!
