Winner of October 2010

I was inspired by 'Eddie's' tremendous run for 'Sport Relief', his candid life story and his determination to do it! I didnt take to the tarmac but I made this in stoneware clay and fired it to 1250'c

I too must chime in to give my compliments! This is a brilliant work of art! I love the whimsical styling of it. You captured so many little details perfectly from his running gear to his determination to the UK'ers who backed him up throughout his journey. Huzzay!

It was fiddly to make, its only 18cm tall and about 20cm long but I had to make it in stages .Then I had to fire it very slowly in the kiln. Thanks for all the positive comments, they are much appreciated!

Thanks Mad! It must have taken a couple of weeks to make at the clay stage but then it has 2 firings and the flags came last . I just worked on it when I had some free time.
