March 2009, dying for want of a heart transplant. Every day, counting those last minutes until the morphine arrived, nineteen-year-old Patrick played Eddie's world history over and over and over again.... he got his heart two years later, but Eddie helped him to stay present one more minute, because that's all he had and that one more laugh was all he needed. Thank you for sharing. In summer of 2010, Eddies comedy did wonders for me too, I was recovering from illness and spend a lot of time at home waching Eddies standup. I remember a period when I really noticed that I was in solid good mood, strangers started smiling at me in the streets, and I realized that I was prakticly walking around with a big smile on my face. Laughter really is good medicine:)
