So now I, too, have had my near-death experience and lived to tell about it (or not tell). Just happy to be here. Pardon me while I go to sort out my pill box :: dodders off ::

WOW. I didn't know it was so shocking.

I'm living in a hotel room, a studio apartment, until my brother and his wife find an apartment for me. Here, I mostly sleep, and obey the two of them plus my boss and the visiting nurse. The last recommends that I not return to work for 2 months. WHAT! We'll see about that.

My older cat is in my brother's town, being cared for by a woman whose old cat just died. She adores Scooter. I told my brother I think she should just keep Scooter, since he gets to be an only cat in a family that loves him. My other cat, Evie Bardot, is in the house of the Master Toolmaker. He took me to see her the other day, and she paid more attention to him than to to me! He has 7 other indoor cats, and they all are brimful of good health. I'm a lucky girl.

No wonder this place is dying, all the cool folk were all near death. Glad you are OK and in good hands and have a very understanding work situation....that kidney failure stuff is serious.....so no more of that please. Keep those electrolytes healthy and happy.

Seriously, glad you are ok.

hang in there and enjoy the kitties....

Welcome back, glad to hear you're better. That's some scary stuff you went through.

I know two months sounds like a lot but please, take it easy and heal your body. The cats sound like they're adjusting, they'll come back to you one day. Take this time for yourself.

I had my first hypoglycemic event! It was terrifying! But here I am, as usual.

Bless you my dear! We are lucky to have you here amongst the blatheren. Scooter will bee fine as will Evie - I will be praying for you that you find an apartment and sending grateful thoughts to your brother and his wife - thank goodness they have been there for you.

Vespa, it's been a year. I have an apartment right across the street from the hotel where I stayed. I'm a mile from my workplace so on good days I can walk there (on the way home I can walk through the mall and buy my needs at Walmart!). Billy has Evie for always, the two just adore each other. Scooter has his forever home in Davis. I have two more charity cats, Summer, 12, and Abbie, 9.

I'm doing okay, but my kidney function is slowly getting worse. I'm just happy to wake up every morning!
