Is the song i've woken up to in my head this morning. I have to admit it's a catchy one, still I'm looking forward to another taking it's place.
Introductions? I'm Lisbeth. I live in a small market town called Morpeth in Northumberland England. I own my own business, a tea shop, vintage style.
I'm 35 and it's really cold out today.
So how is everyone?

It's good to meet you Deco.
Such a coincidence...Eddie Izzard keeps me warm too of a cold night although in my case he's a mischievous beagle!

Hello, I live in Richmond, California, across the Bay northeast of San Francisco. It's starting to get cold here - cold, ha ha! It was 52F this morning. We are spoiled rotten here.

Hi Lisbeth,
I'm Elizabeth, nice to meet you! :)

I've been a member of this site since 2006. I was told by a friend from a band forum I'm a member of to watch Eddie's comedy and to see if I liked it. I was quite happy to discover him! :) Since then, I've seen him 5 times at the Union Square Theater in NYC, twice at Radio City in NYC & 3 times at the Academy of music in Philly. I have mostly all of his DVD comedic shows including "We Know Where You Live" & "Live at the Ambassadors". My brothers are quite fond of him too. I will NOT lie, I KNOW as I was told by someone that I do not fit-in here nor will I ever because of how I am as a person with my characteristics, personality in general. Yet, I keep returning just for my enjoyment of Mr. Izzard & his comedic work. He's got a few fans here! :)

I just was in your country only recently on November 6 until November 13. I had a great time & can't wait to go back.
It was my 13th time now to the city of Liverpool & I went to N. Wales for a tour. I have loved England since I was 12 years old & I have roots from there but, that's another story. Liverpool has held my heart good & bad for many years now. That's a LONG story which I won't bore you or others about unless you're really "that" interested, smile. :)

I'm from New Jersey here in the US, I'm a career woman, college educated, never married (haven't found the love of my life & I know in my heart I probably won't), no kids & yet, I do many interests. I come from a family of 6 kids. I have 4 brothers & 1 sister plus myself. I'm the oldest & the only one unmarried w/out kids. I have MANY nephews & 1 niece.

I have various interests some include: bands, music forums, psychology, parapsychology, post-punk/new wave/classic rock bands/history, collecting vinyls, traveling, British comedy, restoring turntables and comfort food cooking.

Well, I have bored you enough (& others). Nice to meet you & take care! :)

Greetings, my dear Lisbeth. I am Eddie's adopted Gran and I informed him of that fact when he was here in Houston, Texas, USA. Since then, I have adopted several others of you, because I believe everyone needs a Gran. I adore Eddie and love the people that love him, as well. BTW, I have no idea what gangnam style is!:G

Hi hmvincent, todays high was around 14 for me. Positively Balmy!
I went for a walk along the beach today & was windswept within an inch of my life.....blew the cobwebs off though. My memories of the British seaside as a child were 'sand'wiches (literally) & windbreakers & freezing cold North sea. Good times!

Hello Elizabeth, good to know you too. I can't for the life of me understand why someone wouldn't fit in here. I think Eddie represents a love for all personalities & all characteristics, the odder the better! I have to admit my first impression of this forum was not a good one, I don't understand the need people have to bully others & it's something I feel strongly about. Perhaps I should have kept out of it?
Anyhow, I decided to stick with it as there were some lovely things written by all but one & I'm pleased I did.
You have been to Liverpool 13 times more than I have! I have no connections to the city (family, friends, university or otherwise) But I hear it's a beautiful city & vow to get there eventually...at some point. Im very interested in the good & bad things about Liverpool. Do tell!
I live with my fiancee in Morpeth. We have no children my fiancee isn't keen I'm not sure & I think it may be an issue in the not too distant future but at the moment I'm happy to keep it on the backburner, and you know something you just never know what around the corner...good things happen when you least expect them too.I completely understand the need to self protect but I also have a strong belief that good things happen to good people. You never know what the future holds....

I ran out of space....I must've rambled on too much like when the answerphone cuts me off mid sentence. Bloody machines!

Hi Houstongran, Gangnam style is a bit of a craze which I'm sure will hit your city soon enough. Its a song by a Korean man called Psy. Gangnam is a district in South Korea where handsome & beautiful people come from. Its a song people love to hate & has a particular style of dance which people love. You must look on youtube. It's hilarious! Lovely to meet you :)

This may be the original, I'm not sure, I'm just going by the fact that it has over 774 million views, so here it is for your enjoyment.......gagnam style by Psy

PS- I'm a huge Eddie fan also, been following since a 2006 Bill Bailey gig at UCLA when I got to speak to Eddie for the first time (he was in the audience) :-)
Welcome to the madness Blatheren!

Hey, Lisbeth
Allow me to thank you for speaking up on my behalf the other day and formally say "Hello!"

I'm a mom, a writer, and a student
I live in Colorado, in a small town near Aspen
The weather here is gorgeous most of the time with as many as 300 sunny days per year

I have off from school for the next 5 days and I am very grateful for that!
But of course, my profs were loading up a great deal of work just before the break
A test in one class and then I had to turn in 5 papers over a five day period
I should have my English degree soon. I have just one more year to go

Glad you found us here
Don't let the bad elements keep you away

Sorry about that, techno halt ....

Hello, Lisbeth

I am quite new to this site myself, but I have never had the courtesy to properly introduce myself :( being a bit cautious on the Internet, you know. Here in Bergen, Norway we have our fair share of rain, rain and some more rain, but it will be fine in May and June, and maybe some few sunny days before that. The snow, you can imagine - rains away x-p. I am in my early fifties an interested in films, art, painting, drawing, graffiti and a big fan of British comedy - even though Norwegian comedy is getting better, British is best and Eddie is King! I've been a big fan of him since November 2006, a friend came by one evening with "Glorious" and I was smitten at once. That year all relatives got an Eddie Izzard-DVD for Christmas :D and others got one for birthdays an so on. I have followed this site for some years before I became a "member" and it seems that people here generally are sweet, funny, "nurturant" and positive. And from what I've read people expect the site to be more lively when the new tour starts :) Bye-bye!

Hi Lisbeth and ubimel 4.5

I am neither a newbie nor quite an oldie. i live in Australia and am proud to have a Gran in Houston (who I've actually met in New York!) It's almost summer here, so cricket season (the game, not the insect) although the weather"s been a bit all over the place.

Psy was in Australia recently & played a gig at which he only did the one song. I don't predict a long career.

I was a sort-of fan of Eddie for years until something clicked when I saw The Riches and Dress To Kill and I became a sort of super-fan. Because I had a job that took me overseas a lot at one stage and was fortunate enough to be able to travel a bit outside of work, I've actually seen Eddie live quite a lot - although never in my home town until last year. i've seen him in a hundred seater and at MSG, Hollywood Bowl & Wembley, all of which hold a few more than that.

This is a nice place to chat about Eddie and other things and it's always good to see new faces. I am looking forward to Force Majeure - and have no intention of waiting for it to make its way to Australia some time in 2014!
