And to the rest of you beloveds, as well. I am looking forward to hearing details of Eddie's WIPs and his Force Majeure shows. I visit here every day and love hearing how you all are doing. Nice to see some of the early Blatheren back on line. Keep the good news coming!

And a happy and prosperous New Year to you, my dear Gran!

A comfortably indulgent evening in store for the Vespa household. Cozy naps, excessive hors d'ouvres and a marvelous supper. Tomorrow it will be the traditional pork and kraut, football and films.

At midnight we will do something new - one of our Christmas gifts was flying wish papers. Each person writes one wish for the year to come on each of three of the papers, folds and lights them and sends them off to the sky in hopes the wishes come true.

I know what one of mine will bee - can't wait to hear what Eddie's plans for 2013 will bee - hope he performs here, and soon!

Love to all the dearest Blatheren -

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us ..." Charles Dickens

I think those words so clearly describe this powerful year known as 2012...

December 26th brought a horrific accident which killed a former dear coworker, and severely injured his lovely girlfriend and brother....

Thankfully I invited one of his dearest friends to one of the Eddie WIP gigs as soon as I got tickets. I sure hope it will bring her some relief. She is beyond devastated.

It is so unfortunate that the words "Life is short" are said so often, that it sounds cliche. But I am so sure that anyone who says is - means it.

Maybe now I really know what those words mean. And maybe now I know what follows the famed phrase "Life is short. -- Hold on to what matters -- each other."

Happy New Year to all of You!
Wishing you the strongest of sails for this thrilling ride that 2013 will surely bring....

Happy New Year Gran. I am looking forward to 2013. I can't say 2012 was my favourite year - too much sadness, too much stress and too many people who I thought were different turned out to be not so great. I remain thankful for the ones who are sincere and hopeful that I'll see more of them this year. And I'm sure that somewhere soon, I'll get a chance to see Eddie live again, which always has a way of cheering me up.
