1. How were you first introduced to Eddie? I was surfing the channels late one night when I couldn't sleep back in 2000. Came across D2K which had already started. I was absolutely captivated by his blue eyes and he had me laughing hysterically within minutes. Have been a fan ever since.
2. Have you ever seen Eddie live? Yes, only once. During his Sexie tour. I'll never forget it.
3. What physical trait of Eddie's do you find most attractive? His eyes. I could swim in them.
4. What physical trait of Eddie's do you find least attractive? I think he has a weird shaped body and head but I still think he's adorable.
5. Would you travel a long way to see Eddie? Maybe even out of the country? I would have to say no.
6. Do you think Eddie is dating someone? No, I think Eddie is too busy trying to be the best at everything that he has no time for dating.
7. Do you like when Eddie wears makeup? I used to when he was younger but not really any more. A bit of eyeliner but that's about it. I don't like nail polish on men.
8. Would you ask Eddie to marry you? No way
9. Do you think Eddie is a good actor? No, not at all. He is best at stand up and should leave it at that.
10. Do you want Eddie to enter the political forum? Not at all. I really hope he doesn't.
11. Do you think Eddie should do more marathons? Only if they are 1 day marathons. He pushes himself too far otherwise.
12. Do you think Eddie will ever have children? If he's smart he won't. He's too old now and doesn't have time to stay home and properly raise them.
13. Do you think Eddie is sexy? Hell yeah. One of the sexiest men I have ever seen.
14. Would you like to hang out with Eddie? Sure, at least for a day. I do find him quite fascinating.
15. Do you think that the people on Blather will ever all get along again? Stranger things have happened but I wouldn't bet money on it.
16. Who is your favorite fellow Blatherer? I think we all know the answer to this question by now.
17. Do you think Blather will ever be as popular as it used to be? No, there are way too many other social networks that are run WAY better then this site. Blather for the most part is very archaic.

Newbees who come on and see the confrontation between blatheren quickly turn to other social media - and who can blame them?
And endless unrelated music video posts - not fans relating to one another and sharing - very confusing as well.
It can and will  come popular and populated again if those who left will come back to re-establish their blather identies and support one another as friends and as fans of Eddie Izzard, a supportive fan community - as we were in the day.
And when Newbees are welcomed to a fan community by fans and "family" on this site.

I tell ya what Vespa. To prove you are wrong I won't post on this site for an entire month. No make that 2 months. I can't vouch for Pointy since one never knows what he is doing but I won't post anything for 2 months and I'm sure that it will still be dead as a doorknob around here.
This place will NEVER be the way it was when I first joined. People have grown bored of Eddie. Even the ones who were totally obsessed with him have moved on to other celebrities. Graham, who was obsessed with him once, has moved on to other celebrities. Some have stopped liking him because of his political views.
People grow bored of websites after a while. Nothing really stays the same does it?

I heartily concur that posts are best when they are Eddie-related. I believe we (many of us, at least) have gotten to know each other so well that we are interested in each others' health and significant news events. I also agree that posts need to be as positive as possible, because this site is supposed to be relaxed and groovy.

Thank you, Houstongran. That's what I (and many others) have missed most about the way the site used to - blatheren supporting one another, sharing triumph and tragedy, hopes and dreams and achievements.
And of course, chatting about Eddie and posting related piccies-some of them downright salacious (and totally delicious  )
This site was a wonderful place to and hopefully, will again. I hope some of the blatheren who have ventured away will return to blather together once more. And encourage potential new s to join in.
As we used to hear Eddie say when we came onto the site:
"Talk to each other! Talk! Talk!"

This site is too archaic for people to even bother with it.
The opportunity to say, "Then why do you bother," is tempting...but I will pass.
I think the participants on the Eddie Izzard site who are "still" fans and not "over" him, and who have invested in onsite relationships with one another, would not agree.
That is our choice.
You are, absolutely, entitled to your opinion. And if you prefer to not participate in blather for a period of time, that is your choice.

I have to admit, some of the Blatheren that used to come here, that don't anymore, I don't miss... and I'm quite sure, they don't miss me.... but I DO miss the way this place used to !
It was fun to post anything and everything....and it's just not the same, but I still peek in... I'm hoping that with the upcoming tour dates it wil mean more activity here... I remember how fun it was when he toured in 2008 and I finally got to see him and meet him... I'll always remember it!
People have moved on but it doesn't mean we can't keep it going here..... my two cents!

Really now... can we just MOVE ON here? Cabs... you always say you're leaving and you lurk and come back...and it is your right to do so... but I agree with Vespa... we need to get this site back, to the way it was.... and you're with us, or you are not... it's your choice... I'm staying and am reaching out to others that haven't been back in a very long time..... and perhaps you can do the same since you've been here much longer than I have n.... if not.. I wish you well and hope you're happy in life!

I'm not with you...It will never be like it was which truly is a very sad thing...I do have some fond memories but I also have some very bad memories...unfortunately this forum affected my 'real' life and not in a good way.
It is definitely time for me to leave...there was only one reason why I kept coming back here...I don't have any reason to come here any more...I held on to a dream I had for way too long now...it's time for me to stop hoping for something that is never going to happen. It's time for me to stop allowing someone to have control over my emotions. I'm finally ready to let go...it's taking me a very long time to do so but I'm finally ready...this is a year of MANY changes for me and this will be just one more good change for me.
It is sad to think that some people take life for granted. They refuse to see how truly precious, important and fragile life really is. We can never count on tomorrow because tomorrow is never promised to anyone...
I wish all of you the best...I hope you all get to see Eddie as many times as you want to.
