Subject: Reminisces and/or future plans...

Hi,
I'd like to ask "friendly" here, when you first waited after a show to see and/or meet Eddie, what did you do? Did you feel you know, "weirded-out" or possibly even self-conscious? Or, did you just wait, see what happened & talked calmly?

Not trying to sound like a stalker here (ha!) but, what are your reminisces from your "first time" meeting him, what did you say, how did you react & were you even possibly "embarrassed" & did NOT do it? What was he really "like"?

What were your experiences like?

OR..............

For the future...
I'd like to ask, if you're going to see him at any of the upcoming shows, are you going to try to wait & meet him & if so, what are your plans regarding this?

(I met Depeche Mode in NYC in 2005 & I was absolutely star-struck but, I didn't act all crazy, immature or weird. I just felt tongue-tied & I almost didn't go b/c I was embarrassed about myself & felt all self-conscious but, I am glad I went & I said what I did say to them. I hope to meet a couple of other band members too. I met Dave Gahan, Martin L. Gore & Andrew Fletcher-Fletch all of DM).

Just making friendly conversation here & I thought of this topic seeing that I'm personally going to be seeing him on Saturday night w/ my roommate & 2 of my brothers (are coming in). So, I'm fairly stoked.

Cheers! e.

the first time I met Eddie was at a meet and greet after the Houston show. It was then that I informed him that I had adopted him as my Grandson - hence the name (and position) of HoustonGran. I brought him Mars bars. The second time was at a show in Dallas. I brought him Mars Bars and Twix. The next time was after his performance on Broadway of *Race*. My hostess, Valkyrie NYC, took a picture of me with our Eddie. She enlarged it and got it autographed, and it hangs proudly where everyone can see it. So I have adopted most of the Blatheren, as well. My favorite thing is being Eddie's Gran - and all my others, as well.
As for being nervous talking to him, he puts you so at ease that you wouldn't feel overwhelmed, just happy.
