That is one foxy song
I once had a dream where I and Eddie were members of parlament and he was wearing a garment made of foxtails - so I am not surprised that you thought of Eddie when you found this..

Wow! That sounds like a very interesting dream, Tumi It would be real fun dreaming something like that
I'm a big fan of Ylvis - and a little bit proud, they have lived different places in their lives, but they are mainly from my home-town, Bergen. And I thought maybe a video with crazy animal sounds would appeal to Eddie-fans. Now the video has spiraled to 26 mill hits - due to....something.....
But two years ago they aired THIS song - then I was really reminded of Eddie Happy weekend, Tumi!

Sorry that I'm harping on about Ylvis (I know this is an Eddie Izzard site but if anyone is interested, the boys (well - men) are on "Ellen" this afternoon, and I think she will sing along with them....
And thanks, Tumi, for your kind words, Bergen can be quite beautiful when it's not raining

Hey, Ubimel, it seems we live in the same city! I'm not from Bergen, but I've lived here for 8 years now.
I saw one of the Ylvis brothers - Bård - at the university library once. I've never seen them perform, though... I really want to, if they decide to tour again at some point.
And yes, the Stonehenge video definitely made me think of Eddie the first time I watched it.

It is fun that you came to remind me of that dream, it was so good that I am going to have to share it with you.
It is not long.
Me and Eddie were doing some progres at the parlament, we were both members of parlament for the Feminist Movement Party.I was holding a pile of paper and Eddie was wearing this garment of foxfur with all the tails dangeling about. We were going to the cantine and were talking about our work. As we found a place to sit, a guy spotted Eddie and his outfit. The guy had this grin on his face and was obviously trying to think of something witty to say, I stopped him and told him that this was not a case of "flamboyant cold". Then I woke up.
What do you think, does it mean something?

Sorry for being so late answering, I’ve been away and not much on the Internet Hello, Thinthondiel you are student, taking your master’s aren’t you, I think I’ve read it in a comment. I’ve lived in Bergen almost all of my life, so I AM one of those pesky people with the most irritating dialect in Norway (according to some…) The best of luck with your studies ! I’ve never watched an ”Ylvis” show, me either, but maybe in the future….
After 35 days the YT hits are a 100 million – WOW! That’s fun!
Here is how they presented it when the video finally was shown on the their talk show:
And Tumi – that dream was quite surreal, but fun and interesting I remember something about Eddie being asked if he considered himself a feminist, he said yes and gave quite a good answer, but I can’t remember what, and I can’t find it….sorry! It’s also fun you ”defended” him in your dream and maybe tried to say that OK, he is flamboyant, but he is not a cold person ? someting like that….
I don’t think dreams ”mean”so much, I’ve heard that they are comprised of things you’ve experienced during that day, combined with feelings you have at the moment, joys & fears – and of course earlier experiences. The most important thing is to notice what your feelings are during the dream if you want to find out: who and where am I NOW.
But I’ve had dreams that seemed quite meaningless - then suddenly I have understood from the feeling (or a detail) the dream’s inner logic and the ”symbols” in my own private imagery world.
A good thing can’t be repeated too often, so here it is

Thanks for the response, Ubimel
It seams that norwegian television is having a good year, Elsa is hosting her own talkshow too, fun! that is
Meaning of dreams is such an interesting topic, I have books on solving them, one very old with folklorelike inturpretations and also one with Jungs dreamexplanations - with the most lovely pictures.
On that statement in my dream about the "flamboyant cold" - I am sure of what I meant by that, I was telling that man in the cantine that the way Eddie was dressing, had nothing to do with sexual confusion as he was about to imply. And actualy, I do think so, I see it as an artistic statement made in the nineties when people were wearing what ever they liked, I remember wearing my greatgrandmothers cottondress and steeltoed boots and feeling totaly comfortable. I think Europeans feel at ease listening to a dresswearing bloke, we did that on sundays for centuies It feels good.
Here is a lovely nineties tune made by an popmusician from my hometown
Best wishes - Tumi
ps. Ellen did well on the singing!
